The Sunday Herald is today launching a year-long programme of initiatives designed to support financial education in Scotland's schools. We are also giving away (pounds) 15,000 in prize money to the top three participating schools whose pupils produce work of an outstanding calibre.
The Scottish Executive, Westminster Government, financial watchdogs and consumer groups are increasingly emphasising the need for all children to receive financial education throughout their school career. Only then will they later be able to make sensible decisions when it comes to banking, borrowing and saving for their futures.See the full content of this document
