TO the Marriott hotel in Glesca, scene of one Thomas a Sheridan's alleged shenanigans, where Liz Cameron, the effervescent erstwhile Lord Provost, hosted a civic reception for librarians and sundry hangers-on. Mindful perhaps of Taggart's forthcoming 25th anniversary, Ms Cameron relayed the story of a wummin who came upon what looked like a crime scene near Central Station, yellow tape and all.

Informed by Blythe Duff that an episode of Taggart was being filmed, the wummin digested the information carefully before asking the question we would doubtless all have liked to pose: "Is it a repeat?"
