ANORTHOSIS FAMAGUSTA team-mates Giorgi Kinkladze and Marco Haber last night warned that the Ibrox club will face a team on Wednesday brought closer together by the tragedy which engulfed Helios Airways flight ZU 522.

The club's 32-year-old playmaker and captain Nikos Nikolaou lost four of his relatives when the plane crashed into mountains near Athens killing all 121 passengers and crew last Sunday. On a small island with a population of just 700,000, few members of the footballing community have not been touched by the tragedy, and there is at least a partial belief that the same unity and inspiration that saw a 10-man Cypriot national team record one of their best away results, a 3-0 win in the Faroe Islands in midweek, could extend to overturning the club's 2-1 deficit from the Champions League third round second leg.
