HERE is a true story. An 85year-old retired Church of Scotland minister on a visit to Edinburgh from her rural home used an ATM "hole in the wall" machine for the first time.

She had been approached by a down-and-out asking her for money before she went to the ATM and promised him that if she did succeed in getting cash out then she would give him something.
