AFTER a season more memorable for injury updates than performances, Joos Valgaeren has finally provided Martin O'Neill with some welcome news. The defender was in the Celtic squad for the first time in three months yesterday, but he accepts he may struggle to win back a regular starting berth.

A succession of injuries ranging from a sprained ankle to a groin problem have limited his involvement to just four league starts before this weekend's trip to Pittodrie, but with Bobo Balde away on African Nations Cup duty with Guinea, the Belgian's return couldn't be more timely.
