BOWLS: Midlothian held off a late challenge from defending champions Lanarkshire at West Lothian yesterday to become the Jack High Insurance National Premier League Champions. In a tense and exciting match, Midlothian had been leading 69-51 with six ends remaining across the board, but in the end they were relieved to win 82-80 to take the title for only the second time.
