THERE are not many people who can say they have turned a water- filled hole in their roof into a world-class business venture. But Peter Murphy, the general manager of the five-star Sheraton Grand Hotel in Edinburgh is one of them.

Of course, it helps that the hole in question is a heated rooftop spa that sits at the top of the Sheraton's One Spa pampering complex. It is a six-storey building with three split-level spas, complete with massage rooms, steam rooms, saunas and heated recliners.
