THE one thing that stands out in the latest private equity grab for Alliance Boots is the relative lack of any defence plan by the company's board of directors.
With the board agreeing on Friday to open up the books to the bidding consortium backed by Kohlberg Kravis Roberts and deputy chairman Stefano Pessina, it would be easy to assume this will be easiest roll over in years.
