Ferns was in EastEnders from late 2000 to 2002. The Scottish actor made a huge impression as Trevor Morgan, a chib-eyed Glaswegian with a penchant for wiping his feet on Walford's resident doormat, his wife Little Mo. His final episode, in which he burned to death, was watched by an audience of 11 million. His was one of the most recognisable faces in Britain; a curious side effect of his fame was that people started to point out that I look like him.

It all started with Robbie Coltrane ("You're like that wee bugger who's playing the psycho in EastEnders") then it was taxi drivers, then checkout girls. Then my mum.
