Expectations are growing in English legal circles that the Home Office will next month finally produce its draft Bill creating the new offence of corporate killing.

If it does, it will mark the end of years of vacillation over how best to make companies directly responsible for the deaths of their workers, customers and other members of the public through negligence and dereliction of duty.
