WHO can forget their first visit to New York City? When I think about my first time there 14 years ago, I remember the shopping (ooh, Bloomingdales! ) and feeling so special, strolling along Fifth Avenue gazing in awe at the shop windows. After all, New York is the ultimate shopping destination and with an abundance of direct flights now from Glasgow and Edinburgh, is very accessible a mere hop over the pond.
