ANDY Lawson has emerged as a candidate to replace his old boss as Scotland coach. Lawson was Peter Drinnen's right-hand man as the Scots finished runners-up in the World Cricket League in Kenya in February.

That result took Scotland through to last month's Twenty20 World Cup in South Africa but by then Drinnen had been axed and Andy Tennant and Pete Steindl got the nod ahead of Lawson as temporary coaches.
