Summary
The Willow Tea Rooms This Glasgow institution was designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh in 1904. The Room de Luxe, with its silver furniture and leaded glasswork, was considered the most spectacular room he designed for Kate Cranston during their 20-year partnership. The name and theme came from the street name Sauchiehall, Gaelic for "alley of willows".
Abbey Cottage Tea Rooms Located in the Dumfriesshire village of New Abbey, this pretty 19th century cottage overlooks the ruined Sweetheart Abbey.
