MARK Emlick, the founder and chairman of the Edinburgh-based investment fund Dunedin Independent, has won" a very substantial" figure from a United Arab Emirates-based publisher after a London High Court action against the newspaper Gulf News.
The action concerned an article in April 2008 in the Dubai-based paper. After being awarded" significant" damages and costs last week, Emlick said:" This judgment has allowed me to uphold a business reputation which I have built up over the last 25 years.
