Ethics Girl

Summary

ALL my life I have been a meat-eater: raised on a diet of square sausage and mince you can stand a spoon in. I still love nothing better than a fullfat fry-up and a roast beef dinner. Recently, however, I have met a new man who's a committed vegetarian. He detests the smell of meat and even refuses to kiss me until I have brushed my teeth after eating it. He has asked me to move in with him, but the stipulation is that I become veggie too. We get on extremely well, and I would love to be his bidie-in, but I just don't think I can truthfully promise to eschew my red-blooded culinary preferences. I've let the impression form that I've not being eating meat of late. But just the other day I found myself in a restaurant secretly satisfying an overwhelming desire for a juicy burger.

Should I confess and plead for his forgiveness, or accept that if I want to pursue my relationship with my new man I will have to live a lie?
