FEARS over looming shareholder action and litigation has led to a surge in demand for personal cover by top executives, according to one of the world's largest insurance groups.
Marsh, the worldwide insurance broker and risk adviser which is believed to control roughly a third of Scottish corporate insurance broking market, has said that FTSE 100 companies are buying a staggering 20per cent more directors' and officers' (D&O) insurance than they were 12 months ago, as business leaders scramble to protect themselves from the growing threat of litigation.See the full content of this document
