FOR months William Clark, chairman of the Perthshire Agricultural Society, had been organising one of Scotland's biggest agricultural shows. Within half an hour of the outbreak of foot-andmouth in Surrey, plans to judge 100 rare Charolais cattle yesterday were abandoned as quarantine and disinfectant became the order of the day.
