WHILE the independence question looms large over the Scottish elections, one group of Scots has already had its chance to vote. After spending three weeks as a ''breakaway state", Kelso High School took to the voting booths and a four-to-one majority voted in favour of staying independent.
Last month, the school's 651 pupils declared themselves independent from the rest of the UK. They marked this historic day by raising their own flag, which had been made by the art department, before singing the Kelso High School national anthem and installing their own currency, the Bawbee.See the full content of this document
