SMG chairman Richard Findlay is fronting a bid for the three radio stations being sold by Emap in the Republic of Ireland.

Backed by a consortium that includes Allied Irish Bank and at least one private equity firm, Findlay is one of six bidders on the shortlist for the stations, which are Dublin's FM104, Donegal's Highland Radio and national station Today FM.
