Last year he left it very late, but this season in-form Steven O'Hara is already close to wrapping up his Race to Dubai Tour card after only four events. O'Hara birdied three holes in succession mid- round on day three of the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters to sign for a 69 and a share of seventh place at five under par in Doha.

Denmark's Thomas Bjorn came from one shot behind to find himself leading by one when he birdied the last for a 66 and an 11-under- par total. Bjorn, who birdied his closing three holes, overhauled Austrian Markus Brier who bogeyed the last in a 69 to drop to second at 10 under par.
