SENIOR members of the Western Isles community have attacked emergency planning measures on South Uist and Benbecula after a young island family were drowned amid last week's storms.
The small island community was shocked by the deaths of three generations of one family. Archie MacPherson, 36, his wife Murdina, 37, and both of their children, seven-year-old Andrew and Hannah, five, died along with Murdina's father Calum Campbell, 67, after they were swept away in Tuesday night's storm.See the full content of this document
