Summary
At 22, Lee Wallace can still see only what is yet to be achieved. The full-back made his third appearance for Scotland last Wednesday night, but his career still feels nascent. There is an unrefined quality to much of his play and the emphasis is on what improvements he has to make. All the same, he considers himself privileged.
Under Craig Levein, the Scotland manager, and Jim Jefferies, now in charge at Hearts, Wallace is being moulded. Work needs to be carried out on the defensive aspects of his game, as the tendency of full-backs is to assert themselves going forward.
