Summary

FEW music festivals are defined by music alone. They're as much about the people you meet incidentally, the unexpected friendships struck up for those few long days at least. At their best they are a shared experience, a mass party, that no-one will want to forget. And this year's Hydro Connect festival is already ticking those boxes.

Clouds are virtually touching people's heads but as yet no rain.

Still, the wise have wellies and most people look completely up for it regardless. All they are waiting for is the spark, the bang, to get the party started And they get it, too.
