COME dancing. After all, what else do you want to do in a pretty full-skirted dress, but swing and swirl to devastating effect?
When it came to putting together this week's fashion story, we decided to undercut the sugary-sweet charms of the frocks, by placing them in another era. We also transported them to an environment that is a little grittier than the kind of style bar in which such garments are likely to be seen nowadays. Our brief was to try to evoke the period when dancehalls were full to the gunnels with moody blokes approaching wee burds with the query: "Are you dancin'?", and getting "How, ur you askin'?"
