CONCERNS over recent press coverage of deaths have forced the Scottish Executive to join with the National Union of Journalists (NUJ) in reintroducing guidelines on the reporting of suicide in the media.

An amended version of previous guidelines is being printed amid concerns that "copycat" suicidal behaviour can arise as a result of insensitive or over-sensationalised reporting.
