WHEN former Belle And Sebastian vocalist Isobel Campbell wrote and recorded a duets album with exScreaming Trees and Queens Of The Stone Age growler Mark Lanegan in 2006, it seemed an unlikely pairing. The voices were polar opposites, the songs an authentic and eerie folk. Sunday At Devil Dirt is darker than its predecessor, a blend of dustbowl blues, beautifully arranged strings, acoustic and steel guitars - and, of course, those voices.See the full content of this document
