LESS than 48 hours before the showbusiness trial of the century was due to commence, a mystery witness emerged in the Michael Jackson child abuse trial claiming the accuser's mother lied under oath in a previous civil case.

America's ABC News revealed the witness is a legal trainee who worked for the lawyer representing the mother of the young accuser when the family sued department store JC Penney and won a Dollars150,000 settlement in October 2001.
