JVC, the Japanese-owned flat-panel TV maker which employs 300 people in south Lanarkshire, is to reconsider its long-term commitment to Scotland after its 2007-2008 financial performance is audited at the end of this month.
The management of the East Kilbride plant, which last year made a loss of GBP3.5 million, said that it was "struggling" to survive in Scotland, as increased competition was lowering prices for LCD TV sets, and eating into margins.See the full content of this document
