Summary
SCOTLAND'S cash-strapped lower division clubs are set to have their pools payments restored from the start of next season, the Sunday Herald has learned.
The SFL who lost their annual GBP600,000 lifeline from the pools companies back in August 2004 due to a cash row will once again be able to share out a six-figure sum among their 30 member clubs next season. Littlewoods have come to an agreement to become the official licensed pools partner for all four of the UK's major domestic leagues. The good news for clubs near the bottom of the Scottish game will be tempered by the fact that the windfall will be divided under the SFL's new system for distributing extra cash, which will weight the payouts in favour of First Division sides.See the full content of this document
