A NEW spin-out company in Aberdeen is working to develop drugs designed to slow the progress of Alzheimer's disease and diminish the after-effects of a stroke.

AOX Therapeutics, which has been spun out of the Rowett Research Institute, is working on the development of compounds which could have a global application in the treatment of the conditions.
