SCOTLAND could soon have its very own Angel of the North . . . in the shape of a 90-foot nude straddling buildings at Dundee University.

The disrobed figure, dubbed "Bio Colossus", is the brainchild of leading Scottish sculptor David Mach, famous for the Big Heids art installation next to the M8 motorway at Mossend. Initial plans for the work show the gigantic woman with a hand on her hip, standing between the Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and the science buildings on the Dundee campus, an elbow resting on the art college roof.
