ONE of the most comprehensive studies ever undertaken into health in Scotland has revealed devastating evidence of a link between childhood obesity and an increased risk of cancer.

The team at Bristol University found that the most overweight children had a much greater chance - 38% - of developing pancreatic, bladder, lung, respiratory tract and mouth cancers in later life.
