THE Scottish government has ordered an investigation into how GBP850,000 of public money was awarded to a senior civil servant's former employer. The government's Justice Analytical Services (JAS) division, headed by James Sheffield, awarded the cash to PA Consulting - a company which used to employ the mandarin.
A series of contracts, many of which were not competitively tendered, will now be subject to an internal audit .See the full content of this document
