"I DON'T think there's such a thing as projectionist school. Anyone I know who's doing it has just said 'I quite fancy that' and got into it that way. During the Edinburgh International Film Festival we have people who only do the winding of the reels, so a few people have started that way. Or there are others who are at film school and who are just interested in how films are shown as well as how they're made.

Most people just train on the job.
