Summary
The UK Film Council provided the Edinburgh International Film Festival with pound(s)2million in grants over the last three years to position itself as a festival of discovery. This year's festival in June saw the end of that largesse. Instead the UK Film Council is encouraging film festivals such as Edinburgh and Glasgow to increase their online presence to generate more income.
