THE former Bishop of Edinburgh will call on the world's flock to lighten up today, following in the footsteps of Elaine C Smith with a turn at the Glasgow International Comedy Festival.

Diving headlong into a debate which has seen picketers outside opera houses and global unrest over cartoons of the Prophet Muhammed, the head of the Scottish Arts Council, Richard Holloway, will defend people's right to "poke fun" at religious bodies.
