ISthere a more focused individual in world sport than Tiger Woods? If there is, I can't name the person. Yet, even this extraordinary human being was driven almost to distraction by mobile phones and cameras at Royal Liverpool last Sunday.

It didn't show in his peerless performance on the course, but later, after all the emotion and drama had subsided, he admitted: "Cameras, or camera phones, kept going off while we were over the shot, or preparing to hit the shot, or even hitting the shot."
