TODAY'S ban on smoking in public places in Scotland would have inconvenienced Graham Rix, but not nearly as much as his brutal and summary sacking by Hearts on Tuesday.
Just four days earlier I had watched him light up one of his favourite slim cigars in the manager's office at Riccarton.
