RAFAEL Benitez admitted his deep frustration after seeing Liverpool held to another goalless draw by a battling Birmingham side at Anfield yesterday - where Fernando Torres was once again left on the bench. Benitez said: "The game was very frustrating, we tried to play wide, we tried to get the ball into the box and we did everything we could to break them down. In the end we ran out of ideas."
Torres was the home side's most potent threat when he came on after an hour, but by then Birmingham had grown in confidence and comfortably held on in the end. Torres had an overhead effort that went inches wide and Steven Gerrard had an effort cleared off the line.
