COVE Sailing Club's Regatta Weekend yesterday was blessed not only with an abundance of both sun and wind but its best turnout of yachts for over half a decade.
After a few years of consistently dropping numbers at regattas the length and breadth of the river, the Clyde Yacht Clubs' Association withdrew their own Clyde Regatta in favour of a nominated group of four events, a strategy which appears to have paid off with rising numbers at both Kip and, now, Cove. Close to 60 boats made it to the Clyde village, with the big boats providing a long-awaited return to the fray.See the full content of this document
