Audit Scotland, the quango charged with ensuring the effectiveness of public spending, has insisted that its account of Scottish Government oversight of the jinxed Edinburgh trams project was "not misleading".
Published last week, the report has been criticised by transport experts for advocating an enhanced trams role for Transport Scotland (TS) while failing to analyse with any rigour TS's current governance of the pound(s)500 million grant to the bungled project.See the full content of this document
