1. Our story about Gordon Brown and John Prescott's meeting in the car park at the Loch Fyne Oyster Bar was followed up in every newspaper and TV broadcast. It has now entered into political folklore and was still running in yesterday's newspapers.

2. Newspapers reported on the Maryhill plastics factory blast and the related human tragedies all week but it took the Sunday Herald to reveal that one of the firm's ovens was made out of a dustbin lorry and highlight the many health and safety failures at the plant. 3. Our story reporting the (pounds) 5 million bail-out of Scottish Opera dominated the media and the Scottish parliament all week. With its (pounds) 7.5m subsidy the tale of the fat lady's woes ain't over yet.
