"ON a normal day I get in about sevenish. Then I'm on the computer for a couple of hours. Most mornings I'm through in my workshop by 9.30 and that's me for the rest of the day.

I work mostly with metals - steel mainly. I enjoy the drawing and the draughtmanship that's involved, the dexterity that's required. The way I work is fairly unique, although I'm by no means the only guy working with steel this way, but on the scale that I do it, it's become very recognisable and a bit of trademark and I'm very happy with that. Now I'm beginning to push the technique in different ways and introduce different methods to achieve it and it's working well.
