THE long South Glen Shiel ridge boasts nine Munros, with seven of them capable of being climbed in one day-long expedition. The other two, The Saddle and Sgurr na Sgine, make up a shorter but no less exhilarating day out and can be climbed from Achnangart in Glen Shiel.
The Saddle is the finest mountain in this part of the western highlands, a peak of narrow ridges, deep corries and superb views. Its finest feature, and one that shouldn't be missed, is the Forcan Ridge, a great scrambling route that follows The Saddle's east ridge.See the full content of this document
