TWO of the big beasts of European golf, Thomas Bjorn and Darren Clarke, will today put aside their close friendship and attempt to become king of the jungle at Loch Lomond. The Ryder Cup teammates go into the last round of the Barclays Scottish Open two ahead of a field which looks pretty docile until the names of Tim Clark, the defending champion, and Ernie Els are reached three and four shots respectively behind.
Bjorn, whose rise to prominence began when he became the first Danish golfer to win a European Tour event here 10 years ago, has the momentum.
