LEADERS of Glasgow's 14,000strong Sikh community are expecting a big turnout today at Scotland's main celebrations to mark Vaisakhi, the religion's new year and holiest day.

The Glasgow Gurdwara Council is organising a colourful sevenmile walk through the city, starting at 10am from the St Andrews Drive temple in Pollokshields to its main centre in Berkeley Street.
