Summary
ANNIKA SORENSTAM strode confidently towards a fifth successive win on the LPGA Tour and an eighth Major when she shot a best-of- week 66 for a five-shot lead at the Kraft Nabisco Championship.
On a glorious day in Rancho Mirage, California, Sorenstam started the third round tied on five under with Rosie Jones, the 45-year- old American hoping for a first Major in her retirement season. But the world No 1 was in a different class from the rest. Out-hitting her partners - Jones and South Korea's Mi-Hyun Kim - by 50-yards, she also showed a deft touch around the greens in a flawless six birdie round for an 11under 205. Jones remained her nearest challenger after a birdie at the last for a 71 and six under, with Kim and American Cristie Kerr seven shots behind Sorenstam in a tie for third.See the full content of this document
