On Friday last week, the case of Simon Moore was heard at Paisley sheriff court. Moore, from Hackney, east London, groomed a 13-year- old from Johnstone in Renfrewshire on an internet homework chatroom. He travelled to Scotland to meet the girl, to have sex with her, and built a shelter for their meetings in the nearby Rannoch Woods. He threatened to kill her if she told her parents. It was disclosed during the trial that while he was on bail for this crime, the paedophile had begun to groom another teenager from Hull, using the same internet chatroom.
