IN any normal year, Scotland supporters would settle for, even celebrate, two wins from the threeTest autumn programme. However, this year has been different, as the buzz created by the appointment of Andy Robinson as head coach and the excitement that grew through their victories against Fifi and Australia, meant many had high hopes of a clean sweep, a November Grand Slam, ahead of yesterday's match against Argentina.
Has the Pumas' 9-6 win changed anything? It certainly robbed Robinson of the hat-trick he craved - an achievement that would have been all the more noteworthy as this year's matches were all against higher-rated sides - and means Scotland have not clinched the place in the top eight of the world ranking that is the benchmark for international rugby's heavy hitters these days.See the full content of this document
