'These Kids Are Angry ... Last Week They Had the Chance to Shout'
"Societies are never sick, whatever David Cameron says. It's a silly word to apply to them. But there are societies under a great deal of strain. During the second world war, people lived under tremendous strain and anxiety. Today, we live in a world full of large cities in which a lot of people don't feel that they belong to a society: they've lost touch with the country, have no relationship to the land, haven't enough money yet are constantly presented with pictures of extremely rich people buying all kinds of apparently wonderful things. There's an increasingly big difference between the extremely rich and the ordinary people. That's a difficult world to live in.
"People who have worked hard and built up businesses have seen them destroyed. Cameron says the Government will recompense those who've lost their homes, but no-one expects that to happen. ...See the full content of this document
